Judith Funnell

Judith was born profoundly Deaf and educated using both oral and signed communication and she is a highly respected member of the Deaf community. Judith is well travelled and has attended many events for the Deaf Community all over the world. One of her areas of expertise is regional sign variation. With a wealth of experience behind her, including teaching for over 15 years brings no surprise to her excellent pass rate in all courses delivered.
She has experience of teaching BSL Level 1 through to NVQ 3 in BSL as well as all the modules within the Deaf Studies Foundation Certificate. Judith is also an approved assessor for CACDP The Council for the Advancement of Communication with Deaf People in British Sign Language Levels 1 + 2, and Communication Tactics.

Qualifications:

• CACDP British Sign Language Stage 3
• Linguistics of BSL City Lit
• Certificate of Education for Post Compulsory Education

She has also attended all curriculum training for all elements of the CACDP Foundation Certificate in Deaf Studies and British Sign Language Level 2.
